JoDawn Bacon joined our staff a few years ago as a veterinary assistant. She came to our team with some formal education in Texas enrolled in veterinary technician school. She is currently taking classes online to complete her veterinary technician license. JoDawn assists the doctors with treatment of patients in the hospital and helps Lesley at the front desk to answer your phone calls along with scheduling appointments. She is wonderful with the pets and loves to get to know your fur babies. This photo features JoDawn with Duke, one of her many favorite patients.
Lesley greets you with a smile each time you visit with your pet or call. She performs many valuable tasks in our office in addition to answering your questions and keeps our office functioning well. She handles the scheduling of appointments and assists the doctors with the care of your pets while staying at our hospital. Most importantly, she keeps our office running smoothly. She is currently enrolled in an online program to receive her Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence. She shares her home with her dogs Molly and her Boxer Bender. We are fortunate to have Lesley at the helm of our practice.
Micayla Corbitt joined the staff of Shaw Veterinary Clinic the first of May 2021. She has a compassionate nature with experience as a CNA. She has been around animals most of her life and is an avid horseback rider. She is licensed for rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife and has had a life-long ambition to work in a veterinary hospital. She assists the doctors treating sick patients and is learning the front desk tasks under JoDawn's training. You may see her either coming to get your pet to admit into the hospital for treatment or bringing you medication you have ordered for your pet. Micayla is certainly going to be an asset to our team so welcome her when you see her.
