Drs. Roger & Donna Shaw met while attending school at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and opened their practice in June of 1983. Their daughter Heather and her husband Adam provided the doctors with their first daughter Everleigh. Their daughter Jennifer shares her life with two Labradors and is the Director of Accounting for Westrock Coffee based in Maumelle. The youngest daughter Stephanie is pursuing her PhD in Canada studying the effects of toxicants on the Killer Whale population. Her husband Jake serves in the U.S. Navy stationed in Bremerton, Washington.
Lesley greets you with a smile each time you visit with your pet or call. She performs many valuable tasks in our office in addition to answering your questions and keeps our office functioning well. She handles the scheduling of appointments and assists the doctors with the care of your pets while staying at our hospital. Most importantly, she keeps our office running smoothly. Her compassion for animals is amazing and she genuinely cares about your pets. She shares her home with her dogs Molly and her Boxer Bender. We are fortunate to have Lesley at the helm of our practice.
JoDawn Carlton joined our staff a few years ago as a veterinary assistant. She came to our team with some formal education as a veterinary technician and continues to learn more every day. JoDawn assists the doctors with treatment of patients in the hospital and helps Lesley at the front desk to answer your phone calls along with scheduling appointments. She is wonderful with the pets and loves to get to know your fur babies. This photo features JoDawn with Duke, one of her many favorite patients.
Kelsey Stone joined our staff team and comes to us with extensive experience in FFA and customer service. Kelsey attended college at SAU in Magnolia for a short time then went into the service industry work force in Jonesboro. She worked at Post in Jonesboro and Peco foods in Pocahonats receiving certification in sanitation quality. She has recently been involved in the family cattle business, rice farming, and soybean growth in the Hoxie area. She assists the doctors in the treatment of patients, surgeries, and administering medications. She also assists our front office staff so you might see her coming to your car bringing medication that you have ordered. Please welcome Kelsey when you see her.
Ashley Orosz joined our staff a few months ago. She is a graduate of Highland High School and has held various positions with one of the more interesting ones playing in a rock-n-roll band. She assists Dr. Roger with surgeries along with helping treat sick patients. She has been learning a bit about the front desk area as JoDawn has been helping her learn the computer system. You may see her either coming to get your pet to admit into the hospital for treatment or bringing you medication you have ordered for your pet. Ashley is certainly an asset to our team so welcome her when you see her.
